Seeing how well the 2004 thread is going, I figured I'd let you jaded s chime in on what you thought the gems from the following year was. And I'm def not limiting this to trance. Whatever's clever guys.
I know I'm gonna catch some for the last one, but it. 2005 was my party year, and We Interrupt this Program was the party anthem for me and my friends at the time. Driving out to parties with this track blaring, and pregaming it with some cheap booze, weed, yay and whippits. Fun ing times. :toothless

im going to keep it real since i was only 13 or 14 at the time and just started listening to dance music ..
From memory, I didn't listen to trance at all this year, just didn't care. Spent most of it listening to a variety of other stuff, including a lot of very mainstream material.
Pendulum - Hold Your Colour was the big classic from this year for me, I had it before anyone else and absolutely hammered it, made so many CDR copies for friends. The Chemical Brothers - Push The Button got a lot of plays as well.
Mattsanity.
2005 was the last year the chemical brothers made good music, but I admit I'm saying that as a revisionist.
Madonna - Hung Up was big.
No disrespect but I took a hiatus from electronic during the 2nd half of that year due to falling in love with hip hop.
Jonas Steur - Silent Waves was one of the last great trance tracks before the genre fell off.
this 2005 remix really did justice to a classic track:

Pretty much these, over and over again:
Sasha - Fundacion NYC
Sigur Rós - Takk
M83 - Before The Dawn Heals Us
Boards of Canada - Campfire Headphase
Also bought the older Aphex Twin - Drukqs and listened to it a lot that year, I think.
