Has Joof Recordings become the modern day Platipus?

I have been into the stuff for a long time and Joof records, while always having been a solid label wih a great philosophy - in the past I have found to be a little hit n miss - but recently in the last year or so it seems that the ratio of quality tunes : take em or leave em tunes has really stacked up in the favor of the quality.
in general - it really seems like the point in time is near/here where this stuff is almost ready to become a genre of its own (progressive trance ZOMG) - and Joof is at the forefront.
so yeah - is Joof the modern equivalent of Platipus? |

| I can see the analogy, but Platipus are still going today, and the two labels actually share the same head office now. |

did not know that about joof n platipus in the same building - sweet :)
maybe i should rephrase the idea i guess. are Joof about to head (or are already heading) through golden age - being a genre defining label

| Well, they are not physically in the same building, but both labels are handled by the Bonzai office in Belgium, which is where all the legal work, distribution and so on are processed. |

This was never our intention, we simply support artists who we believe in and they so happen to make great music. JOOF Recordings has it's own sound and Gradually over the years has become it's own music Genre i suppose. Which is always a good thing.
