Any TA here have taken the CSC course? Any comments about it? Or advice? I'm considering taking the course soon.
How about actively charting your personal investment endevours?
Honestly it's not about greed, just don't want to slave work 9-5 and looking back wondering why all my money was unscrupously spent while making someone rich when I'm working.
In otherwords, I'm pretty lazy and don't want to do anything but have fun with friends (which requires alot $!) and trance up.
While in the meantime I'll figure out of earling a living to what I actually enjoy doing. :conf: |

| itz a good thing to take .. you can become a liscensed mutual funds or brokerage house advisor and maintain your own portfolio. Unfortunately it's not exactly easy to pass either but it will definately open a lot of doors. |

I work at a bank, and many of my co-workers have taken the course. One girl i know did her IFIC (Investment Funds in Canada) in a weekend. My father did the CSC exam and reached honours earlier this year. It takes a lot of work, so you will have to put in the time.
But you dont need the CSC or IFIC to be a succesful investor, just to be able to be a licensed advisor/broker etc. If the only thing your looking for is an edge in your own investments, study the material, but dont worry about the tests. |

| My brother took the CSC from home, and he passed it with a really high mark (I think it was around 97%). But he was doing an average of 5 hours of homework per day, plus whatever work he had from college. It was worth it though, b/c now he took over my dad's business and more than tripled his income. |
