I think the boards are just dying, and if del wants to push some life into them he should take a lot more active promotion offline then online. he should be throwing parties, bringing talent and expanding to different cities.
Our era is dead. We've all grown up and got lives. Start going after the youngins just getting into the scene (edmscene not trance as trance is pretty much a dying genre). Put together parties for these kids, make money, and always promote the site. Make strategic alliances with big name djs and get them to help promote the site. That's the only thing I can see being done to keep the site going. Time to pass on the torch to the lil ones and make ta a pretty cool micro society again.
Ta was once very cool and a lot of fun. Hell I can just fly to NYC tomorrow and have tons of people to chill with just because of this site. I go to an event now and run into all sorts of members that have posted through the years and we all know eachother and will chit chat for a few mins. Thats very in cool imo, Del should really work at getting that back.
You won't get the old posters to post here again so just focus on getting the new era of kids in here. Del should be working on getting the numbers to come to the site and we as oldschoolers should be working on getting them to stay.
Things like CorWhoreoffs made this place fun. Invading different forums, Drama unfolding, getting to know one another and ta meetups is what brought the community together. We should be helping out by setting these things up again for when the new generation comes. But Del def needs to be pushing numbers into this place while we do our part by making it a fun place to hang out. |

Well I already barely post anymore anyway - and certainly not with the same, uh, vigour I used to. However I AM here often enough, and am shrewd enough, to catch and ban alts. NO MERCY!!! |
