You think that is bad. Some Presbyterian priest or whatever they are called was saying certain people that died are still going to hell. |
glue him to the priest and send them to clean up mines in Iraq

It's highly unlikely this will go to trial, there's not much you can do about crazy. "He knew what he was doing" is not the legal standard. His actions may been planned and seemed rational, but if the basis of those actions is completely disconnected from reality (e.g. Schizophrenia), he still has a good mental defect defence.
In other news, I love these NRA loving, internet tough guys. "If Carry and Conceal was legal, the tragedy in Colorado wouldn't have happened". Right. Would you like to change your bull story? Even if 10 people had a weapon in that theatre, 7 of them themselves as soon as he opens fire and never draw their weapon. This number is based on research done on soldiers reluctance to fire on their fellow man, and the fact that there are a number of shooting cases in Carry and Conceal jurisdictions where persons on-scene had a weapon (supposedly for the very reason they witnessed), but never drew. I'd argue that 7 out of 10 failures is generous.
The 3 remaining wannabes have 100+ panicking innocent people in their arc of fire between them and the assailant. Add in a dark theatre; a gunman armed with an AR-15 (basically the same weapon as the C-7 used by the Canadian Forces), with body armour and a gas mask; and he's dropped some tear gas just to make the game more fun. Let me tell you something: The TACTICAL SQUAD doesn't want to walk into that scenario. The weekend warriors are simply outgunned and undertrained. It'll look real good in the NRA newsletter when they report that 3 8 year old kids were killed in the crossfire because the gun nuts were completely out of their depth.
Leave heroism to the experts! |

She'll end up making money if she even gets the sentence reduced.
I reading that his automatic was jammed during the situation, which probably prompted to save a few lives. That's when he turned to his other weapons.... crazy. |

So true. I'd even put the number closer to 9/10 tbh. Even someone trained for this type of situation would have a hard time doing anything. |

A beat cop who tried to fire at the assailant in this scenario would seriously risk losing his badge. You have almost no chance to taking the assailant down, but an almost 100% chance of hitting an innocent bystander. That kind of risk is supposed to be taken into consideration when making the decision to fire. |
