Bio:
Kill Them With Colour is a fresh DJ and production duo that started in 2008 in Victoria, British Colombia. Wesley Marsh and Jason Carr began their love affairs with dance music recalling influences from Deep Forest, Michael Jackson, Mr. Oizo and Daft Punk. Although they grew up in vastly different environments (Wes in France and Trinidad & Tobago, and Jason in Newcastle Island), upon meeting they discovered that they shared common interests as kids; experimenting with sounds and creating samples out of old cassette tapes.

In the span of two short years, Jason and Wes have produced a number of remixes as well as original tracks that juxtapose from chill and wavy to bass thumping, sweat dripping, dance ‘till you can’t feel your body, sounds. In 2010, the Kill Them With Colour remix of Kid Cudi’s “Symphonies” went #1 on The Hype Machine and Hype M Radio listed their Ariel Pink remix “Round and Round” at #9 for the year.

After gaining ac knowledgeable attention from blogs such as Earmilk, Tracasseur and in print via Tillltate.com Magazine (where band Return To Mono shouts out KTWC for their remix of Framebreaker), it quickly became apparent that Kill Them With Colour’s production would continue on the steady incline into people’s hearts and dancing shoes.

As 2011 dawned, the success of KTWC carried through, showcasing in Toronto during NXNE (Canada’s largest music festival) and releasing a self-titled EP that presents a mix of ElecTropic, House, Techno and experimental arrangements, fully depicting the essence of their style.

Now, at this point one may find them-self wondering, “how exactly do you kill with colour? And is it a felony?”

The name Kill Them With Colour is inspired by a term that Wesley would hear as a child used to describe art that takes a form of something (music in this case) that is vibrant; that stands out. Further, within music, it means to “come at you” with different sounds, as if the spectrum of sound can be visualized in colour. So, need not worry about jail time, the only felony being committed here, is that these two fellows are murdering dance floors.
