No mastering and just a quick ole video thang as sound cloud is playing up.
This is mean't to sound quite commerical, why not, can't always be doing dark techno.
Does it need a vocal? Hows the mix.
Cheers all.

sounds quite good, good luck with this

I think it is very good. One issue is there might not be a big enough (or defined enough) drop to be a commercial success.
This reminds me a lot of Pryda. I can't 'visualize' vocals fitting into this one as is.
Beatflux
wow, a lot better than your other stuff

I think he has posted a few WIPs on here that might give a false impression. Some of us are more prone to posting things in here we don't ever finish (Rich and I). Whereas some like MZS or Seandroid seem to always finish and even get signed all the WIPs they post.

Meriter - cheers
Beatflux - Thx - maybe I getting better at mixing, or it's just pot luck but yeah I'm quite pleased with it
Tranceylovelust - great feedback, listening with fresh ears today the drop is indeed not defined / big enough. Any ideas what I might do? There is a vocal in there - you can just make it out at drop start - it's me saying ahhhooohhoooo - maybe I layer that up with lots of takes and harmony's like a massive choir? Or should I augment the melody line with a piano maybe?
If you can point me to a track I might draw inspiration from, that would be great, just to get a spark of inspiration where the break may have to go.
Deillon
Have you thought of adding more melodic background to the track? It's kinda boring listening to the same chords.

Yes, I tried quite a lot of melo's so far, all of which failed.
So far each melo ended up sounding cheesey.
I will make a big effort to introduce a gradually developing melody.
What sound would you envisage for it?

I actually caught the 'vocals' but they are more the Pryda style 'backround vocal' used more like layering than the focal point. I think most commercial club music right now features instrumental climaxes (other than background vocals) with main vocals in the breakdowns.
When I say I can't visualize vocals, I mean I can't visualize Shermanology start singing a full on verse, chorus and such in the context of the song you have.
I think you should augment the melody line with a piano but also build up to the climaxes more with a sweep and such.
This is a song I think you can use as a reference.

I could definitely see this having vocals but im glad it doesn't if that makes sense
although I'm sure it would do better overall

You all got me thinking. Now I know just what I want to do - will update this soon - this will be finished, 100%.
Domesty
I think its a good track. Some mids and lows sound maybe lil out of place especially on the main lead. Its maybe little in the face too to my taste.
It certainly has the commerical feel on the beat. On the main and carrying lead not so. Todays sh*t if i would say, almost always includes these big ass noisy high ear piercing frequencies that is almost essential to todays EDM music. Your lead doesnt have one, but god its completely OKAY! Even though i dont love the melody, i like the style that your going. However realistically, i think it has very little - to little chance to get accepted by the labels (dont know where your aiming at though).
Its hard to have good sinlge lead whitout it being "cheesy". But i would definately recommend maybe lil more variety on the chords.
dancey bassline and hat beat is very good!!!
AND i'm no pro but thats just my personal opinnion ( ;
