Anyone know of a high quality free image resource?

I like using images in vids, but so far just from google images and often the resolutions are poor.
So I tried a couple of free image resource sites but the photos are real obvious and cheesey, too bright and bubbly like you would see on a Bank poster. For example I wanted a moody shot of a female running away, but all those offered on these 2 sites were like bright shiny images for a gym or something, much too staged.
I need moody gritty stuff.
Any suggestions? |

| By default, www.sxc.hu. But if you're very specific that would not suffice I guess. You can always use Google image search and let it display big size images only (with the filters on the left). |

| Stock photos are big business my friend you will probably have a tough time finding something specific that is quality and also free to use. (but really no one is going to sue you so who cares) If you have any friends in the design/printing field ask them those guys usually have accounts set up where they can get that at their company's expense |
