Main Stage House? Critical Feedback Plz

I am not skilled enough yet for a lot of the ideas I have posted recently. So I am focusing on songs that are less complicated, but have a big audience, that I can actually finish. I am going for Tiesto, Avicii, Swedish House. Any advice?

problem is with those competitors is it's all about the melody - if you can write a truly catchy, singable melody, it doesn't really matter what genre you wrap it in (trouse or whatever) it'll be big.

The big difficulty is finding that melody!

when you hit upon it the rest of the track will follow.

i don't think this melody does it.

The production is good, and the sounds are right on genre, but it needs more of a hook.

which is the worst kind of criticism, cause it's the hardest to fix ;)

I enjoyed my listen though.

I appreciate the worst kind of criticism because I want to succeed! I am happy you enjoyed it somewhat :) The weird thing is I consider my strength the musical side and my weakness the technical side.

It's not a weakness - it's just that creating that kind of melody is just tough - i've been trying for 15 years and look where it's got me ;)

PUSH strange world is a simple combination of notes - I just didn't think of it!

um , my advice would be to not make music on the basis of what ing stage it will get played on. Disgusting. There is nothing more pathetic than attempting to sell out and failing. It is just the worst.

I like the sounds your'e using / making, really on point. Melo is quite good, but yep like me keep working away. I saw a documentary on Prince last night. Now he is super tallented and was a teen genious, but it showed how it took him a long time and hundreds of songs to find that big catchy melody.

What synths do use btw?

I don't think I am selling out. It isn't like I have made anything better than this. I like this style of music anyway.

You didn't address any problems with the actual track which I am sure there are many.

I use sylenth and use presets. I look through hundreds of presets to find the 'right' one. But synth selection/synth design is probably my weakest point.

i don't know what the main stage means.
I would say that you should make what you feel. Those guys making pop. They feel that. Trust me. And this is why i find it pathetic and kinda disgusting. I mean some people sell out and make money. I get that. I don't get this. You try and be bland and white washed bull, and you fail at it. That is just ing lame.

sorry man. I just don't understand where you are coming from.

i like your critiques usually, but do you think the cubists developed their style independently or through observation and imitation?

I do want to make money. This track is meant to become a demo, not just something I post on soundcloud. Right now I am doing music on the side with almost 0 budget. So I want to change that.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the honesty. I am only interested in being a good music producer and am willing to take the realism that comes with. I just hope for some vetting of this track specifically before I send it to an A&R. The people I send it to won't have a problem with the style. They will be looking at mixing, synths, ect.

no ing idea who they are. All i know is that to ask if you sound like big room makes you beyond lame. I can't even explain in words. Its just this sort of gag reflex.

And you know what, i ing love LMFAO. Seriously, they do what they do and don't try to be anything they aren't. I mean they are a ing parody of themselves which is hard to not like. So it isn't that i don't like commercial music.

In fact i probably know more top 40 jams than all yalls. Its just this desperation of wanting to make it. If you can't make it in the underground. You can't make it in the pop scene. Trust me on that one. If you can't do something with what you love, you won't get anywhere doing what you don't.
