What is the best daw when it comes to automations?
With "best" I understand the fastest and most intuitive.
Tried Cubase and FL till now, but Cubase is really a pain in the ass. It is so confusing, I wonder how someone could work that way.
Right now I am drawing my automations with the mouse cause I haven't got a midi keyboard with knobs. (Could I improve on the matter if I take one btw?=)
And how do you personally make your automations? With a midi keyboard or mouse only?
Which daw specifcally would you advice me for heavy usage of automations?
Anxieties
This isn't a DAW problem. It sounds like you just don't really understand Automation. Even if you get the software that's linked below, it's just a crutch for not really understanding. It's like looking for the synth with the most awesome presets so you can get immediate results easily, but what does that accomplish?
Look at how creative he is with just the slicing tool. You are never limited by the DAW:

not logic, I really think they could've done it better, like 1 knock it off with the stupid animation that breaks when you have more than a dozen tracks going

I love doing automation in FLS. Everything is just two points, adjust the tension, next. Not too mention that most parameters are only one or two clicks away.

Yeah, I have never had a problem with FL studio automation. I can't really imagine it getting any better than FL studio.
For a trick, you can zoom in to an automation and get really precise. At least with the new (or one of the newest) versions there is also a faint level so you can see if your points are even if you need that. You can also look in the top left (I don't have it open so I can't get more specific right now) and it will show you exactly how much percentage you have opened the filter, changed the pitch, changed the cutoff, ect.

Is FLS the only DAW that features 2-point automation curves with tension control?

I reckon the best way to automate synths is Melohman.
