Some questions on Eventide & other reverbs

I've been trying to learn as much as I can about reverb lately. I'm becoming quite obsessed with the quality of Eventide's reverb, though I don't own any outboard gear right now and don't know much about the different Eventide product lines.
The best software reverb I have is Aether. I'm not that experienced with space design yet, but I'm after a reverb with a really pure and lush, long decay.
- Is Eventide really the only way to get there or should I stick to learning Aether as best as possible?
- I noticed there are Eventide Space and Eventide's Reverb 2016 bundles in software. Does anyone have experience with these? I'm not keen at all on the idea of a dongle to worry about breaking or losing, and the price is not cheap. With my limited knowledge on Eventide hardware units I'm wondering if these algorithms are even what I'm looking for, and if they're good enough in software.
Thanks kindly for any advice. |

Don't consider buying outboard until you are absolutely convinced that you need it and are at the technical level of skill and implementation that warrants that purchase.
Even then, there's a software version that will do the same thing in 99% of cases.
A lot of good suggestions were made in this thread so I suggest reading it all the way through, especially the last post.

| I suggest you get to grips with Aether, because it really is an excellent reverb plug-in and if you can't get those kind of results with it then you're doing something wrong. |

If you really want hardware, take a look at the Ensoniq DP4, which is still excellent.
It looks pro too, which is nice.
Probably the same cost as a couple of plugins too. |
