Pointers for Vegas?

I have never been to LV, but the wife bought flights for Labor Day weekend.
Looks like we will hit Marquee day club for Mat Zo and A&B.

Any other pointers at all that more experienced people can give?

Sun screen for the pool parties.

Buy pre sales.

Stay close to where you party, because it's hell to get a taxi on busy weekends.

Have TONS of water and some snacks in your room.

Get to the parties early, get stamped and come back. Getting there late sometimes = hours of wait time in line.

Drink lots of water when you drink at the pool parties, the heat and drinks will make you a mess in a hurry.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head right now. I'm actually here right now for Prydz...if I think of something else I will post it up here.

This is a pretty wide open question. Anything specific you're looking to do?

We are trying to book a hotel without spending a few hundred on Saturday night. Marquee pool has $10 line jump tix (otherwise free). How is that possible? Everywhere else is so expensive for day stuff.

We are looking around for stuff to do at night without having to go too far (wife wants to stay at Mandalay Bay) and without having to pay much or gamble.

Marquee Day club is a must!!!! Going there to see Above & Beyond during EDC week was one of the highlights of my trip. Stay away from Tao for anything no matter how tempting it looks with any of your favorite dj's.

The pool parties all have lockers so you can put your phone/wallet/whatever in so they don't get wet and you don't have to worry about where to set them down when jumping in the water.

Drinks are expensive so pregame pregame pregame. If you plan to drink liquor in your hotel room take a cab to a liquor store instead of buying at the stores on the strip or in the hotel lobby, you'll save a lot of money.

Drink water like someone else mentioned.

When you arrive if you have an hour or two to kill agree to one of the time share sales pitches. A couple of friends did it and got $200. It's annoying and you'll have to say no a lot but it's easy money.

As for other stuff to do at night, just wander and drink! You can do a lot of people watching and going between different bars.

I think the Marquee free/$10 thing is just something to 'give back' to their customers/regulars. they easily could charge their normal rates. if you think you'd go def buy the line passes for that one party.

Why would you be going to A&B and Matt Zo trance cheese when Luciano, Martinez Bros, and Calderone are there?

That's the first thing. Second pick up some hot girls at the strip clubs most will be down especially since you have a wife, they love threesomes. This is pending you take the aforementioned advice on the blow.

Third: Drais

Last set a budget. Than double that. Should be good to go. Going to Vegas on a budget makes for a terrible time

The trick to catch a cab when the cab line is long is to get into a cab near the exit of the hotel....one that just recently dropped someone off.

They usually don't mind because the don't have to wait in a long line to catch another fare, and you don't have to wait in line to catch a cab.

If you don't care where you are staying, try hotwire.com or priceline.com. I can usually tell which hotel it is from the description.

Priceline.com, hotels.com, tripres.com, kayak.com are all good places to search for rooms.
