** Reason 2, Leads & MATRIX ** HELP :)

Heyzz,
1)anyone got some very good trance lead synths for Reason 2 ?
2)In fruityloops its possible to make the music notes short or longer, but how do i do thiz in Reason 2? The Tie gate helps a bit, but nott very much..

I'm not terribly proficient when it comes to the matrix, but have you tried controlling the synth using the sequencer (i.e. the piano track/lane). In order to do this, you'll need to create a 'sequencer track' for the synth. Assuming the synth is programmed to sustain notes for as long as you hold down a key, then you can you draw the notes (in the piano lane) for as long as you need them to play out. I believe you have to disconnect the matrix from the synth for the piano lane to start controlling the synth (I may be wrong on this one since I rarely use the matrix).

It's not necessary to disconnect the matrix...
The Matrix is pretty useless, though - I've never seen anyone using it in a tune... |

I like the use the matrix for simple arppegios. But that's about it. |
