Hence why I said if we hit it off the bat, rather than "if I'm desperate enough to smash the inner parts of anyone remotely attracted to me" ;)

If the people you know in their early twenties/late teens are all immature (whatever you mean by that, of course), then you probably need to know more people. There are air-heads in their late twenties and bright people in their late teens.

it. For the next few weeks i'm only going for young girls and i am going to lie about my age.

Why even lie?!

Remember I told you I had the same problem. Quite a few times I've been approached by younger girls precisely because they reckoned I was just slightly older and/or interesting (how delusional of them, tsc, tsc, tsc :p). Had I not told them I'm committed right on the start, I'm sure at least one of them would've been a good companion later on.

Funnily enough, one of these girls approached my fiancée last week saying she knows me and whatnot. Talk about awkward, heh :p

I have the opposite issue: I look older than I am, and so tend to attract older women.

Perhaps it's just your online persona, but isn't it because you tend to be serious?

My younger brother looks way older than me because he's far from being the jolliest person in the world. I, on the other hand, will hug everything and everyone who looks friendly enough... and you should count yourself unlucky if you ever see me in a bad mood not having a laugh at the world and myself :p

Ps.: Incidentally, I've just finished listening to your Excession mix as I typed the paragraph above. Nice stuff, mate :)
SYSTEM-J
Possibly, but even people who've never met me before tend to think I'm 3-4 years older. It's probably more because I have ample facial hair, a high forehead and sharp features. But you're right in that I have always tended to get along better with people who are older than me. The last five or so genuine friends I've made are all about 28, the housemate I've just moved in with is 28 and the girl I'm seeing is 28. So perhaps mentally and emotionally I'm 28, which is why people tend to think I'm about that age.

And I've no idea how/why you've just discovered Excession, but cheers anyway. Definitely one of my most popular mixes.
Lira
You mean you're not 28?! Yeah, even online you seem much older than you really are!

Oh, and Unique2701 (Jamey) hooked me up. We were talking about drum'n'bass one day, one thing led to the other, and before I knew it I was working on my thesis with some atmospheric amen breaks in the background making me feel like I was about to write something that would finally bring about world peace... Which is just odd, because I'm sure a chapter on languages with two different classes of adjectives is not likely to do that.

It could also be the lack of coffee in the wee hours of the day... but, either way, I'd like to give your mix all the credit for the rush I felt :)

Most people think I'm in my early 20s. I suspect that should start to wane soon, as I'm getting some fine lines around my eyes. Heh.

I've always had the same thing, minus the 'sharp features'. I have awesomely thick eyebrows though.

Since I was 14, with ample facial hair to do with as I pleased, I was considered an 18+ year old. This was obviously pretty handy in high school, buying booze for everyone, but at 18 I looked about 25 (I should add that I actually had hair back then, too. Nearly down to my arse - Not the bald er that I am now).

As a result, nearly all my friends are older than me.
Lira
Does this mean you have no arse hair now? :p

Out of curiosity, what colour was your hair? The one on your head, that is :D

I turned 24 in June. And I haven't seen Jamey on here in ages - has she stopped coming on TA?

I plait my arse hair, and put colourful beads in it.

I have normal, dull brown hair though. Very fine in texture/feel.

Edit:

Here's a very old pic of me (I'm on the right), from 2001. It doesn't really show my hair colour, but at least it shows that I used to have hair!

Stu: For some reason, I imagined you had black hair. Don't really know why.

Also, I love how your goatee looks a lot like mine... upside down :p

System-J: I guess so. I can't remember the last time I saw her post around here. As a matter of fact, we were talking about your mix on Facebook, so it would be awesome if we all added one another there and... oh, wait, that's right, you don't love us :(

Sorry, I just had to make fun of that :p

Anyway, 4 years is not THAT much of a difference when you hit your mid-twenties. I know you've just reached thi age, and I figure you're still used to the huge gap this used to be in your late teens/early twenties... but trust me when I say age gaps became apparently smaller as you age.

To be honest, though, I'm not sure I can relate to this, at all. Two of my two best friends are 56 and 21, I date a 33-year-old, and most of my friends these days are either my age or younger. Before my fiancée, I can't think of a single girl I fancied who happened to be older than me.
