This forum has always been very loosely moderated when it comes to behaviour.
I am a regular on a computer technical forum and I have two warnings against my name. One for calling a user a clown and another for saying "you have no clue what you're talking about". |

Sounds like a lively place where people are encouraged to speak their minds. A good environment for technical help from pathetic professionals who are used to the saccharine response of customer support, but what Del has here is a wild west of opinion and imaginative correspondence at its best - sure, people here sometimes cross the line of anonymous advantage (myself included, naturally), but that people enjoy it, that there is a place for it, is irreplaceable. |

This is true. But I understand why he's like that, given how much havoc has been wreaked in the past (what's the name of that mod whose account got hacked - though people said he just flipped out - and banned random users?).

I used to (and still do) spend a lot of time in the DJ Promo section listening to people's mixes, and helping out with hosting here and there. At some point Swamper made a thread asking for nominations, and a few people seemed to think I would be good at the job, so it ended up happening.
A couple of years later, since the COR had become kind of mod-less (and I spend a -ton of time here too :p) I guess it made some kind of sense to Swamper to extend my moderator privileges to here as well, to battle spam and retards. Despite Eric winning the poll :stongue:
