Im looking to learn more about sound engineering, particularly about setting up speakers and subwoofers in outdoor/indoor environments. Im also interested in speaker design techniques. I know the basics about crossovers, frequencies etc Im looking to take the next step and learn a little more.

Are there any part time courses out there, or perhaps some suggestions on a good book to read on the subject?

help is appreciated.

Not sure if this book will help you with what you are looking for but worth checking out.
The book is called Modern Recording Techniques (Fifth Edition) by: David Miles Huber. :)

I haven't read that book but by the name it's probably not what OP is looking for.....

he needs something on live sound.....all I know is from trial and error (more error than success) so I can't say much
