I'll be there! :D
Was a toss-up between Guy J and this, but I have a feeling Guy J will be back again soon (with his new label and all), and a Wippenberg headline set is a rare occurance. |

Got to Exchange a little after 11 and walked right in with my hard ticket (thanks to Malia!) Wasn't into Cantrelle, so spent some time downstairs and when I went back up for Wippenberg the floor was packed.
Thought his set was pretty good, a few tracks with synth melodies that really didn't seem to go anywhere and a little generous on the SHM style IMO, but toward the end everything just went into high gear and the place was really going off!
Really loved the last hour or so, once the "pop" crowd cleared out and the die hard music junkies finished off the night with Wipp! :D |

I more or less agree with this, although I do enjoy Trent Cantrelle as an opener.
Wippenberg's new sound is definitely big-room house, and that's what he was playing. It's a genre I don't normally like much, but the way Wippenberg strings the tracks together makes it enjoyable.
Music-wise, I kinda wish I'd gone to Los Globos for Guy J instead, but I had a bunch of friends with me last night at Exchange, so I had a lot of fun. Plus, Guy J will probably be back soon-ish since he has a new label and all, but a 2.5 hour Wippenberg headline set probably isn't going to happen for a while. |
