honestly, i think you should just keep your views on this matter to yourself as they just ruin threads and never go anywhere.

they should add religious beliefs to the DSM V which is being finished as we speak. I suppose IV does cover delusions and a distorted view of the world and ones self but i think it would be an insult to the Schizophrenia massive to include them under that particular disorder.

Yeah, pretty disappointed with the new revision, as I can no longer call in to work with Asperger's.
Looney4Clooney
you would just call it high functioning autism. ANd you don't have to use ass to describe your condition.

And if Christianity is as you say god searching for man, would you not find him somewhat myopic, capricious in his ability to not expose himself and arguably barbaric in his indifference to suffering. If you can quote where this is said in the bible, care to share the passage. Or was this also a man made device to tip toe around facing reason.
I had to google the word capricious and it's a fascinating word.
yes you are correct, that quote is not in the Bible. It's an intriguing phrase because while people pray to fake gods who never respond, there's a real God who makes the initial move to find people to be his godly children. That's the distinction between Christianity and the thousands of gods. When you criticize religion, I couldn't agree with you more. The malevolent god that atheists paint my heavenly father as is an illusion of the mind.
"The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love." - Psalm 103:8
A sane man will acknowledge that.

Satan is a cunning individual. He'll do anything to get a christian off his game and have him lose faith. He's been doing that for thousands of years, and what better way to work his trickery than roam throughout TA.
Promoting atheism is making a pact with the devil.

it means playful
making someone sick ie homosexual then demanding them to be good or else burn for eternity.
Creating a special place for un baptized babies that did nothing wrong yet won't go to heaven. Granted the pope recently changed his mind and declared limbo no longer exists.
How god can watch the awful things we do with indifference like we are play things. He is the psychopath playing and torturing animals to his content.
god is neither compassionate or gracious. He demands obedience. He demands servitude. For you to get to heaven, you must be a slave. That is not love. That is an evil conception that i would not want any part of even if it was true.
And again, you are quoting a book that cannot be argued to be true. So where does that leave you ? You cannot argue anything regarding your religion other than opinion. You have no evidence. You only have a very long, very predictable track record of ing people over and ting on everything you touch.
I'm not promoting atheism. I'm responding to your idiot claims that have no foundation. Pact with the devil ? But jews don't believe in a devil. Ah but your religion must have it right. Because of all the overwhelming evidence. Your inability to reason is troubling but i suppose it requires a certain idiocy or double think to be a theist.

I like to replace the devil with douchebag and evil with douchebaggery... generally speaking, douchebags are in abdundance and when they congregate there is a higher probability of douchebaggery taking place. That said, after some near-death experiences, I can say from my perspective that a higher power definitely does exist (aliens? spaghetti monster?) ...but anyone who tries to rudely impose their 'beliefs'/stereotypes on others should be beaten with an ugly stick and told to off.
I don't think god demands obedience though I think the ten commandments are a good start... minus the disagreement(s) over what day is really the sabbath. On a side note, one of my biggest pet peeves is with people who think that their ticket to heaven is getting married to someone they have no passion for... but at least they're 'married'. I really do not understand the logic there.
Has there ever been a '10 commandments of the c0r' thread? lol

Looney4Clooney (your name is not L4C), I'll gladly take your insults. I thrive off of insults. I'm probably an insult to Swamper's playground, but if you're ever on the monkey bar, I'll be underneath to be there for you in case anything happens. Hell, if I knew you in real life and you needed a cup of water, I'll give you that. If you spat on my face, I'll let you do it again. If you need a buck and change to buy a cup of coffee, I'll give you twice as much you asked for. If you had my life hanging by the barrel of a gun, I'll still bless you for the sake of meeting Jesus.
Looney4Clooney
I've never insulted you so lets clear that up.
Secondly, i would also give you water not because a religion demands it but because i'm not a dick. the fact you need a rule book on how to be nice to me shows your short commings as a person. And that is fine. But to paint yourself as some selfless acolyte is bull. You do this because it is demanded of you. To not do it is punishable with eternal damnation. There is nothing altruistic in anything you do. Where as what I do, and seem to do has no gain for me. I gain nothing by giving you water, And i think that is where atheism has a slightly more demanding set of morals. Your standard of morality is laughable. Everything is done for some sort of gain. Your entire religion is based on getting into heaven. Everything you do has an ulterior motive.
