Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic's Mistique Music has been having a very strong Summer season. After just coming off one of the labels best releases this year from Noa Romana & Deersky the label delivers another top notch package which sees Omar Fayyad returning to the label for his 5th overall appearance. The Egyptian producer's new single is entitled 'Recycle Your Love' and it comes with remixes from: Kay-D, Loquai and MSZ.
Omar's original mix begins with a lovely somber vibe and a deep rolling bass line that sets an amazing atmosphere right away. Soft textures, gentle keys and a wispy backdrop soon fill the air and it's clearly Omar's most mature production to date. This is one of those tracks that just has a cool vibe because of how perfect the sounds are together and how it flows effortlessly. Amazing work from Omar.
First up on the remixes is Kay-D who delivers one of his strongest remixes of the year. The big beats, choppy drums and metallic accents set a big presence early on. The soft alternating stabs and scattered drums add to the already deadly groove which pulsates below. Kay-D generally does a lot with his remixes, while some artists are content with using the obvious parts and delivering something pretty expected Kay-D always takes it a few notches further by adding either vocal elements or entirely new themes. That's exactly what he's done here, the track really takes on a life of its own during the main breakdown. With a melodic section that could only be described at celestial or heavenly Kay-D has reshaped the second half of this record into one of the most gorgeous pieces of music we've heard all year. Next up is Loquai who just came off an amazing remix for Noa Romana & Deersky's 'Phoras' from last week. Loquai's done a great job on his 'Recycle Your Love' interpretation as it comes with a deep but funky sounding groove that's much more suited to the dance floor than the previous more atmospheric / melodic versions. Closing the package out is Toronto, Canada's own MSZ who is making 35th appearance on Mistique here. MSZ's 'Deep Pass' interpretation is a deeply mesmerizing remix with an amazing bass line that crosses genres really well. The flickering style percs are wickedly hypnotic and the groove just flows effortlessly as the trippy surroundings tease the senses perfectly. A real late night gem to close the package out from MSZ who continues to amaze with some nice production versatility here.
