i wont get into most of the negative things that happend last night
it dont take much imagination to see what iam talking about...
the music before airwave was garbage truck sounding dubstep and hardcore hard house and trance with a crowd that reminded me of halloween i will leave it at that

despite all that, only 3 airwave fans, them annoucing him "coming all the way from germany" meanwhile he is from belgium (his face was priceless :haha:), knocking out his cdj wire half way thru his set etc etc he still played a set ive been wanting to hear for the past 12 years. anyone who didnt claims they are a fan of real trance and missed this you should really be ashamed of yourself, last night was just golden. he played his signature dark bonzai style and even broke out a track from 1992...

closed out with a breaks/dub track i guess to set up for the next dj and tbh it wassent that bad at all, it had the same kick timeing as a dubstep track but without all the robot's haveing sex noises
mostly a really ambient chill synths goin off

guy was so down to earth and just loves to talk about music in general
tonight he said he will be looking foward to it and to have a crowd which he can actually read and feed off of so i hope everyone shows up and supports this show cause after this who knows when he will be back

p.s aldi the name of the track was "sunday break" it has the alone in the dark sample in it
but yea once that melody came in i closed my eyes and took the moment in
amazing set from the master, tonight should be just as great
see everyone later

Absolutely brilliant. Airwave honestly played the best trance set I've ever seen live. The music was perfect. I danced my ass off all night.

Lucas and Rory did quite a fine job as well.

Songs I remember -

Airwave - Cathedrals of Hope
Stiven Rivric and Michael & Levan - Sounds Are Deeply On The Surface (Airwaves Remix)
Airwave & Nico Parisi - Romeo & Juliet
a.l.d.i.
such a great time. i hope it was recorded!!! great seeing everyone. Hope there are more to come when the perfect djs meet the perfect crowd !!

Airwave played some awesome stuff. Some of the tracks I remember are When Things Go Wrong, Save Me, Lightspeed, Lady Blue & a lot of his best productions, thankful for that. He's also a pretty chill guy & I hope he comes back to NYC soon, I did my part of cheering him on loudly as others like Mike Saint Jules did so he sees he's well loved here by fans.

And then at the end of the night is when my mind was blown, when he played B2B with Rory James, and I heard some songs that took me straight the fk back to Twilo. Transa's remix of BT Mercury & Solace & Quivver's remix of Pete Lazonby's Sacred Cycles. :eyespop: :eyespop: Even back in the Twilo days I don't think I've heard either of those songs played in a club before, I used to love driving to those 2 songs in particular on my way to the club. Also dropped were other Twilo-esque classics like Tarantella & Redanka-Saturn & Satoshi Tomiie's Bipath-Paranoize. not to mention Cafe Del Mar, original mix. Awesome hearing those classics again. A great time, was smiling all fkg night long & everyone was having a good time, great intimate vibe.

Airwave played most of his own productions, man. Check out this link if you want to hear a similar 2 hour live set of his. Pretty similar tracklist I'd say although this here is also a live performance.

Oh hellyeah man :) Glad to read this! I may have bumped into you at Twilo while listening to some of these life changing tracks haha. ;) Happy to hear you enjoyed the night as a whole!

About the night - basically couldn't have worked out more perfectly! All the ingredients of a proper party were there - music, vibe, people, atmosphere etc etc. Airwave is one of my main influences till this day, and on top of being a great DJ, he is a class guy :) Really honored to be chosen by Eklectronic and Electronic Night Life to play along side this trance legend, and also, to go back to back with him behind the decks was a dream come true. I am sure we will be seeing him in NY again! Great to see so many people support him especially, myself, Lucas, Eklectronic and ENL, and glad a lot of my close friends were there to enjoy and experience this :) Also hope some people got converted, and lead to the more raw, less watered down side of trance....

Oh I'll definitely say hello to you next time bro, didn't know you were a fellow Twilo-ite : ) So many memories of those days & that place.

Airwave is definitely a one of kind producer. When you hear a track, you know that's an Airwave production, just like like Max Graham, Quivver & other producers who have crafted their own sound. I've always been an Airwave fan but also one of his Planisphere fans. This track here is gold, featured on a few Global Underground compilations--pure atmospheric deep, cool trance from Laurent
