List 5 Excellent Club Smashing Trance
View this Thread in Original format
Dj Pluviose
hi all, I sifted through the threads "Electronic Musical Masterpieces," and the other thread I created, "Your top 5 Ferry Corsten Tracks."

Now I want us to share the really good club, floor hitter, ground smashing track that you prefer.

In no particular order for me:

1. Voodoo & Serano - Blood Is Pumpin / Sela & Briggs - This Day Will Come (Paul Webster Remix)
2. Pulser - Cloud Walking (Astral Remix)
3. Alphazone - Flashback (Original Mix)
4. Airfire - No Signs of Life (Talla2XLC Remix)
5. Goldenscan - Sunrise (Tiesto Remix)

Runner Up:

1. Dumonde - Tomorrow (Moogwai Remix) <--- OMG thanks Syntonic for posting this gem
2. Veracocha - Carte Blanche (Original Mix) <--- Thanks TA for suggesting
3. GTR - Mistral
4. Delerium - Heaven's Earth (Matt Darey Remix)
5. Agnelli & Nelson - Holding Onto Nothing (PVD Edit)

I doubt most of those tracks would go down well in a club, to be honest.
Looney4Clooney
for what era. Like that would go down now ? or at the time they were made ?
fredjan
Now. Some of those tracks have aged terribly.
They probably kicked major ass when they were released, though.

I'm gonna ignore what fredjan said and proceed to keep my mind open for other songs.

@Looney4Clooney, I prefer the classic or gateway era, from 1990-2001 specifically. I already downloaded Scot Proj's Overdrive, for someday, I know there will be great use for it.
Looney4Clooney
everything you listed was 2000 -2004 tho.

Well based on your selection , i suppose that is how i will chose. Tried to keep it how do you say cheesy ?

Dj Pluviose
you're right, I kinda contradicted myself. pardon me. yeah I guess anything goes--- just don't give me any Simon Patterson or Leon Boiler.

on my list I posted some old and new, but I prefer anything that hits hard you know? I'm even insane enough to enjoy Megara vs DJ Lee:cool:

What?
Blood is Pumping and Paul Webster remix are amazing, by the way.

^ I believe that quality has a hard time aging itself in the process. Let it be known that I was born in 1992, so realistically speaking, I was too young to even *APPRECIATE* Trance in its glorious days. In 2009 when I was only 17, I heard Silence live, which blew my mind into another world and basically I got bitch slapped from 1999 Trance. Til then, I realized the true beauty of old school EDM.

Before that, I didn't even know what Trance was. I thought my DJ Mystik, Dj Babyboi, Dj Shog, Dj Loopy, Benny Benassi, and other cheese like that was the divine definition of Trance.

So how does this relate to anything? If I was a sheep, I should be sitting here ranting about Avicii, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, and Kaleidocope Tiesto are the legend of House music. I should be ranting about how Skrillex is a genius. But I never got into it. (whew)

My point is that even though Trance is old, I refuse to see the logic in believing that these quality tracks have 'aged,' and I am more daring to say that most of these tracks would destroy any of the Nu-House songs that I have heard. Sure, Avesta - Arena is nice, but it's nothing even close to what we have already heard.
fredjan
That's true.

Dj Pluviose
the songs posted were ok, I'm looking or something better though. anybody have more songs?
Looney4Clooney
i think your taste might be different than what most people considered club smashers of the era you mention and the genre in question.
