Does anyone know any beautiful space ambient that's really deep and hypnotic? Guys like Steve Roach and what not.

There are entire web labels that absolutely pump this stuff out, and you can download most of it for free. Some random names from my collection: Andrew Lahiff, Dreamhub, Deepspace, Kevin Kendle (his Deep Skies albums), Ashley Mayhem...

This list should keep you going for years: http://www.discogs.com/lists/favori...ent-albums/9191

Also, it would be remiss of me to post in this thread without mentioning this, possibly my favourite track ever:

This is fairly new but it's already been very healing for me. It's like floating through deep space...

Steve Roach - Long Tide

It has a floating and deep ethereal feeling to it. Its one of those tracks that literally leaves me at a loss for words.

Ive really been getting into Steve Roach alot as of late. Lets just say his work does not disappoint.

Specifically I recommend the albums Dynamic Stillness and The Magnificent Void if you are looking for spacey ambient.

I'm going to abuse this thread to rep space techno

Jeff Mills has been doing nothing but hammering out outer space for the last few years, on his albums there's also some pretty nice ambient tracks

Robert Rich - Wheel of Earth

This track makes me feel like I am on earth and in space at the same time. It is from his Trances/Drones release, quite an exceptional track :)

If I could give it a made up genre "close to home space ambient"
