Hey Guys! I am new to these forums, and I wanted to share with ya my brand new production :D its a mashup of Swedish house mafia's Dont you worry child and Above and Beyonds Sun & Moon.

I used to agree with you. Then I started listening to THIS, over and over, again. Also, if you think about it, there really isn't a place for them on Trance Addict if you ban them from MPP. |

I don't mind where it's posted, but it's still not production. Wouldn't a mashup belong in DJ promotion though? |

I downloaded it and kind of dig it. My only issue is that the second vocalist sounds a little hinky. I commend that you got it to a sympathetic key but it still sounds a little off. It would be something that would be cool, if a DJ pulled it off on a live set. In a mash-up that's presumably been edited - my admiration is a little more reserved.
I'm not sure about how intense a mash-up is compared to production but they are typically the length of a song and seem to involve some level of editing in, at least, an audio editor. I don't necessarily discount them as non-production. A DJ set is something a little different and I'm hesitant to offload song-length contributions, from this forum, onto DJ promotion - and clog their forum up. |
