Good times, one of my all time favorite mixes.

I love the older sound of trance, but things change and evolve with times, so it is what it is.
Direct
You sure you guys live in SF and LA? You guys act like you live in a damn outpost in Siberia or some .

Some great tracks from this year that you wont hear crappy radio shows like asot or tatw.

Things also evolve into dead branches and die out :p

meh...its ok but none of that really moves me. Kind of generic IMO.

I'll stick to the 2005 stuff. ASOT 250 was one of the last sessions I listened to - Jonas Steur, Menno De Jong, etc...

Trance no longer gives me a boner. I've moved onto psytrance, minimal, and techno.

Direct's tracks are vanilla. next. At least someone is upbeat though. Unlike most old schoooollers.

I feel these are both pretty good examples of modern trance that isn't . Then again, just my opinion, because I know trance people are by far the most arrogant when it comes to what "trance" is and how it should sound.
Direct
The problem is these big name trance dj’s who you guys were fans of switched their style to more prog, tech and house type trance that’s not the same. Now you guys got this mindset that all trance sucks. Kinda like how youre conditioned to automatically say "bless you" to some one who sneezed.

This time, let go of all that and lets try this again.;)

Those are both pretty good.

And don't think I am a trance hater. Not all trance sucks but it seems the DJs getting booked do play a lot of IMO. At home, in my car, or out at clubs, current trance is mostly what I listen to. A little house, prog and rock thrown into the mix from time to time.

This yearmix is good, good memories for me. 2003 was the year I started listening to trance but got bored of it after 2006. Now I'm getting back into trance thanks to djs like John 00 Fleming and Christopher Lawrence. I'm also getting into psytrance and progressive psy.
