Meh, there's a scientific explanation for everything. Ghosts, goblins, and gods are just an admittance of limited intelligence, on our part.

With that said, I've got a pretty freaky ghost story to share :p

I'd been visiting family in Georgia (state), and was at my aunt's house, late one night, with my dad and two younger brothers. Not sure if this makes a difference, but my aunt's house was the oldest within the area, having been the first one built in those particular woods, in the early 1900's.

Around midnight my aunt decides to go for a quick trip to the grocery store, and my brothers and I decide to accompany her. By the time I left the house, my aunt's car was in the driveway, engine running & headlights on, with one of my brothers inside. When I get to where she and my other brother are standing (right next to the car), we may have exchanged a few words before my aunt silenced us with an anxious, "ssshhhhhh!"

We looked up and saw that what had caught her attention was a man walking on our lawn, very slowly; hobbling about like a zombie. He had the most vacant expression on his face, and completely dead eyes. From where I stood, I could only see the whites of his eyes; no pupils, as he walked parallel to us, toward the front door of the house, without even acknowledging our presence.

As he advanced toward the house, my aunt leaned over and whispered that she might have to run back in and get one of her guns, but she never got that chance. When our zombie trespasser got about 3 yards from the front door, he disappeared! Right in front of our faces. No special effects or anything ; just blipped out of existence :nervous: .

Needless to say, we got in the car and got the out of there! :eyespop:

No clue what we all experienced that night, but if I had to guess I'd say it was just some extra-dimensional . Motherfuckers need to learn how to stay in their own space-time continua.:whip:

Technically speaking - atheists reject the belief in God or Gods. That is the end of the definition.

Having said that - I would be surpised if an atheist believed in other supernatural things like ghosts but it would not be impossible.

do religious people believe in ghosts, other then the holy ghost ?

atheism is the rejection of the existence of bill o'reilly's brain.

If there are ghosts there are souls and life after death and then there is a possibility of an actual afterlife, which would mean there is a grand creator.

No.

Maybe he's a little lonely and wants your company. ;)

Get someone to do some ritual cleansing on the house if you believe in that kind of stuff and are that afraid. I'm assuming that's the only encounter you guys have experienced?
