im going to listen to this for a very first time. this compilation looks so amazing from start to finish. Judging by the tracklist still feels fresh and way out. i think its the best from the others in this series, what do u think.

I think I'm going to listen to it as well.
Sykonee
I think I listened to it at various points in the last 10 years.

Strangely enough, Expeditions is in most of the "trance" "essential" charts posted on /mu/.

It's definitely the weakest in the series for me. It's basically a standard S&D progressive compilation with no real difference between discs, whereas the other two were more conceptual and original. Still, it has plenty of highlights. Tyrantanic (Underexposed Mix) into Stage One in particular is one of the best openings to any mix compilation I've ever heard.

I was confused as hell in the beginning:
- There is the "Northern Exposure", which consists of North and South CDs
- Northern Exposure: Expeditions which also consist of two CDs
- Northern Exposures 2: Which consist of the East Coast and West Coast versions.
Mind-twister, since I didn't know which the TAs were referring to when talking about it..Expeditions or the regular.

Hehe yeah I thought so too. A lot of quality but 1/7 is downright horrendous.

i always liked the 2nd disc more personally.
Head Honcho - Waters Of Jericho
Mouvement Perpetual - Sexuel Mouvement
Stef, Pako & Frederick - Seaside Atmosphere
Der Dritte Raum - Polarstern
Pure - Pure (Friction's Groove)
Red Devil - Gamelan
RR Workshop - Mess With Da Bull
first 7 tracks are magical imo. For it's time it's pretty impressive track selection.

My first ever experience with Sasha and Digweed, when a friend picked up the CD at Virgin Megastore based on hearing so much about these guys in Mixmag. Chris Raven - I Know You Love Me Too, Der Dritte Raum - Polarstern, Breeder - Tyrantanic and of course Space Manoeuvers - Stage One. I liked it but it wasn't till GU Sydney and San Francisco, and the first Bedrock album (listened to it on the commute in today actually) that I became a huge S+D fanboy.
Speaking of S+D comps, what did you guys think of Communicate? That was always my least favorite comp from that time period. I expected something so much more out of it.
