Was just there a few weeks ago. Pretty nice city, but I imagine it will suck during winter, the again I did live in Cleveland for quite a few years of my life and it's supposedly the "most miserable" winter city in U.S.

I moved here from D.C. and live in Bucktown/Wicker Park now. It's great, but filled with hipsters.

PM me if you want to hang out or need info about anything in the area.
Boomer187
what ever happened to that one TA girl from Chicago. I forget her name.

Yeah but there is a lot of stuff to do thanks to those hipsters (if you can afford it).

I lived in Denmark and Finland, cold won't be an issue.

Also make sure to hit up the Maxwell Street depot on S. 31 st and east of Halsted. Not sure on their nationality, but they make a killer hot dog or polish, and pack heat under the counter since they are open 24-7. You'll never find another!

Ooo cheers for that! I am living downtown on Ontario, that will be a bit of a trip for me, but it sounds very worth it.

Hey, the other option was stay in Kentucky. :p Kind of had a small chance to move to Boston, but eh. I like Chicago.

Awesome city, you'll love the nightlife. Just make sure you know where you are going, the neighborhoods can transition from upscale to ghetto in a matter of one single street. And that's not too fun when at night.

Tons of good food, too. Everyone claims their respective city/region's culinary quality is the best of them all, but Chicago can really put up a good cause in being nominated among the elite in great food. The highly cosmopolitan assortment of choices amongst places from all over the world will make you attest to that. And the number of restaurants is endless.

Enjoy it, but even for someone whose lived in Scandinavia, brace yourself for the winters Chicago can have. Last year we got lucky - warmest on record - but lightning rarely strikes the same place twice, and I got a gut feeling we'll be in for some ty winter action in a few months.

(I'm sure you already knew all of this given your frequent visits up to this point ;)

I told you, you should move in with me.

All I ask in return, is that you make me sandwiches.
