Its been a while since I've done anything new and was feeling mildly inspired this morning so armed with nothing but a bad hangover, a cup of tea and some good tunes I threw this together. Pretty banging breakbeat, slightly rough at the edges but gets the job done I reckon. Sunday, the day of rave?

I think the interesting thing about this set is that you had a variety of different moods that would remind me of a guy like you just kinda throwing in tracks that he felt like listening to on a lazy Sunday afternoon. There were a couple cool tracks that popped out in the first half, but you didn't actually get serious until you dropped these monsters:
18 D-Ranged - Get Shift (Far Too Loud Remix)
19 Alter Form - Xenopsylla (Too Dusty Remix)
Those two tracks were total beasts and I wished you would have built a set around stronger psybreaks like that. The last two tracks were a little "meh" but they weren't bad. I actually really disliked the "I don't smoke" track and the one with the rapper or whatever.
But yeah, up and down with the energy as I would expect from an impromptu Sunday set from Dave King, but some true gems that saved the set. Good stuff :) |
