I might be getting my first gig at Home Niteclub

OK Im only 17 and i was talking to Andrew James at Central Station Records at Oxford St, Sydney and i was talking about mixing and so on...
I told him that my mix had been on Nova FM, being the first person in Australia was good anywayz...
He told me that when i turn 18 (December), if i can prove to him that i can mix good (I can)...then he'll try and get me a job at Home Niteclub or a closer club....
I don't care if its not Home...just any club is good for me...
Can anyone tell me how much a dj my age will get...$$$
just curious.
Oh and my mix is going on Nova FM again in around october or even september if i finish it on time.. |

not sure about bigger clubs but the average pay for an amatuer is around $100 per hour

BTW if you want to get more practice come mix online like i do. Right now i'm in yahoo chat>music>electronica in room1 so if you want to come listen or want to play some stuff i'm there all the time so come give it a shot.

well look at the sublime voodoo DJ's nik fish, peewee and jumping jack
they get paid around a grand a week just for holding residencies and playing a couple hours at sublime on a friday night, although that restricts them to only playing at sublime on a friday night but hey I doubt any of them complain at that :) |

I saw Nik Fish, Captain Kirk and Peewee in the city at One Stop Deejay..
Captain Kirk is a en ...I was asking for songs and stuff and he was like "I don't know that song", i was telling him that he was a bloody hard trance, Hi NRG Dj and he said "I don't want to serve you anymore"
Back to topic..jace which mix is Nova playing...and i remember you said you knew about the listener mix ages ago...did you happen to catch my one dude. |
