I haven't seen any mention of this yet, so I thought I'd make a thread. Protonica in general don't seem to get much mention on TA, but they make some nice rumbling prog-psy that will appeal to fans of early '00s acts like of Vibrasphere, Human Blue or Fitalic. Their new album is one of the better trance albums I've heard in 2012, worth a listen:

Just wrote a small review of it on my blog: http://iamnotamusicjournalist.blogs...s-function.html

Pretty good, I'll definitely have to check them out a bit more.

Definitely reminds me much more of "progressive techno" than 2001-2004 era progpsy though
SYSTEM-J
What exactly do you mean by "progressive techno"?
InnerReflection
It's this term that promoters in melbourne use a lot for psy/related events. It doesn't seem to be an actual genre, but more of a mish mish of progpsy, a mix of progpsy and techno or certain kind of techno. There's currently a mix in the dj promotion booth that illustrates it though.
