Things that make you laugh, but shouldn't.

I'm not talking about getting some twisted pleasure out of others' misery - If you do, you're a sick - but what are those times when being witness to someone else's slight inconvenience makes you chuckle?
A few that come to mind:
- When people don't notice glass doors and walk right into them.
- When you can tell someone is in a rush and they're stuck behind some really slow people (especially if they're fat people) and there's no way to get around them, and you can almost hear the person screaming internally.
- When people trip over, but they manage to save themselves and do a twisty dance and desperately try to stay upright, it's especially funny when you see them quickly looking around to see if anyone saw them.
- When you see someone taunting an animal and said animal s them up somehow. Even if they get hurt, they deserve it.
- When some twit tries to do an evil prank on some innocent, unsuspecting person and they get hurt instead.

I once poured liquid nitrogen into a coke bottle with the aim of tossing it at a bunch of people eating lunch outside a few floors below....... but despite my calculations it exploded in my face before I could throw it out of the window. |

Yeah, it can do that. But it also has an incredibly low boiling point, so when not being kept cool it easily absorbs heat and rapidly turns into a gas.
So when poured into a coke bottle, sealed and taking into account that liquid nitrogen boils at about -196 degrees Celsius, the pressure in the bottle increased very quickly as it turned into a gas, until the bottle exploded. It's essentially the same as shaking a lorry full of cola until it blows up and cola goes everywhere.
I also used this logic when I decided it would be interesting to put my hand in a vat of liquid nitrogen.
I figured that when my hand was placed in the liquid, the heat from my hand would evaporate the liquid nitrogen and create a layer of gas, essentially protecting me from the liquid nitrogen at -210 degrees Celsius. That didn't work out well either. |

Liquid nitrogen rapidly evaporates at room temp, which means it turns to gas, which takes up more space, which makes the walls of plastic bottles not happy.
Same thing as a dry ice bomb (but yea, probably liquid nitrogen is going to work a bit faster lol). |
