Thyanks for these, I'm always up for new kicks.

Would you say they won't usually need any bottom end shaving out? I never know whether kick sample producers have in mind the kick not swamping a mix in a club setting.

I've been really liking your kicks. One question, though; How did you manage to make them?

Do not be bitter :) You asked me via SC pm, and I told you in ninety percent how I do it. That last 10%, will remains in secret, but in the end, it is not rocket science. Really.

Thank you for your feedback. Well, I am not master of making kicks or I have no idea is this the right way, but when I started to do kicks, I started by looking vengeance kicks waveforms. I wanted to match my kick waveforms to vengeance ones.

Then I just started to testing different plugins. Limiting, compressing EQ'n, etc. Plugin after plugin, tune, tune and tune plugin knobs, and after many many hours of hard working, I finally figure it out. But, even when the waveform looks like similiar, it doesn't automatically means that the sound is same. If you listen my two first kick packs, you can hear it clearly, I guess.

I realize that the VERY hard limiting is required. Sometimes the limiter is limiting like 10db or even more. Sometimes the kick is going through of 2 or 3 limiters. 1-3 compressor. You need to process those really hard. It is required to make the kick low end to push similar lever to the attack part. Of course you need to set limiter attack and release time right and you have to have a transparent limiter, so you don't kill the attack part. Then there is some plugins, which "coloring" and some compressors which change the phase. Those are quite important too.

Then, in the FL, I tune them in "real time", and then I record them in edison. Then I edit and finalize them there. This is how I made them. In the end, it's not that hard. People always ask how I did those and I want encourage you to try it. Be spontaneous. Don't give up.

Hi, there is 12db cut in 30hz in every kick. If you feel that you need more cut, go ahead. It is up to you / user. I don't have super fancy equipments, so I can't really test if there is too much or less low end. I just have akg k240 mk2 headphones, which I used to produce this kick pack 4. All first 3 pack was produced using the audio technica ath-m50 phones. I always felt that in those phones, you can't hear the mids properly.

If you compare the kick pack 3 and 4, you can hear that kick pack 3 kicks have more, and maybe too much mid's. It "clicks". Someone give me feedback about this. After that I decide to change my headphones, and the result was kick pack 4. Personally, I trust more on these akg headphones and I am quite happy the kick pack 4 results. People are liking them a lot and they are compared them to the wave alchemy kicks.

But, like I said, there is 12db cut in 30hz. If you need more, go ahead :)

Sorry for my bad english, peace!
