IKEA is Dutch. No, seriously.

Come on, it's a Swedish company.

The parent companies were created by a Swede (to lower the tax it pays), Ikea was created in Sweden, it's operated the longest in Sweden, the chairman is from Sweden, the name is Swedish, it is privately held by a Swedish majority.

Ikea is ing Swedish.

Documents with the special characters in the Swedish Alphabet crash our interfaces at work all the time. I recently had to sort a list of customers that was coming into a Full-Service Vending interface for Belgium that had an extended ASCII character (the degree symbol) that shut down all transmission of shipments for a truck-driver (only in our testing environment). To fix it I had to set the content encoding of the interface to ISO-8859-1.

Not that anybody cares or anything.

Actually, I do.

You don't have problems with, let's say, the Polish or the Portuguese alphabets? Just the Swedish!?
ziptnf
The Swedish customers use the most special characters so we have to include proper content encoding for extended ASCII codes for them most often. All of those special characters are shown here. Also, we don't have any Polish or Portuguese customers (western Europe countries we service at CCE are only: Belgium, Sweden, Norway, France, Great Britain, Netherlands, Luxembourg).

Weird... French is fine but Swedish isn't? The cedilla is right next to the "ringed a"...

INGKA Holding is a Dutch corporation, Kamprad came to Holland for the low taxes.

I would say the blue and yellow says enough.

But the Swedes only have дце. What makes those characters special?
