i remember back when he went solo around 2007 his releases were a hot commodity, and it was hard to go to a party without hearing tracks of other producers emulating his signature basslines, white noises, and bleeps. flash forward to now and hes only had one release in the past year.
sounds a lot like the stuff he was putting out 5-6 years ago, doesn't sound like a whole lot musically but somehow I can still seeing this work in the klobs. So is anyone still checking for dubfire in 2012? i know his sound isn't what's hot right now, and hes sort of faded from the lime light he once shined in.

I really liked his stuff stuff from 5 years ago, grindhouse remix, system 7 remix, robbie rivera remix, the collabs with huntemann, split the line etc.
not really subtle but great cross-over appeal and catchy
I agree he lost it in the last years

How interesting that you call his work "a hot commodity". Apt. Its certainly not art...much more so saleable garbage that makes money.

I thought his essential mix from earlier this year was very good
