no need to get passive aggressive. You want an analog synth. You have a moog clone. I honestly think you just go thru the presets and realize there is nothing there for you to use. Then you want a poly evolver which is not what you describe as to what you want for a synth Learn to use your tools and i think you will not flip flop so much. No comment regarding his mastering. I was mentioning his constant updates that offer no real advantages but show a lack of thinking about what the problem is and what the solution might be.

I get the feeling you think a hardware synth will make a difference. If things suck or sound thin, that isn't hardware or software, That is you.

Y you gotta be so mean looney?
Looney4Clooney
it hurts me more than it hurts him. Like spanking your kid with a beer bottle. It is motivated by love.

Thnx Rich, got some new customers, and my name even reached Hollywood.
Not much time for producing own tunes, but that might come again.

Regarding your sale, i would encourage you to buy one nice unit, or maybe 2
Some of the stuff you're selling is category "close but no cigar". Not quite what you hoped for.

If within budget i could advise 2 units? Minitaur & Phatty and your sorted in the bassline and monolead dept. Ofcourse you will have loads of people saying, you can do that itb too.... Let them...... Once you've tasted the thick density, there is no way back,
Juan Paulino
Man there is a way back, digital > analogue jk

Outside a bit of fooling around in the Pioneer topic, i really don't feel the need anymore to defend or justify gear. Whatever works for someone.
If your perception of quality is different than mine, then that's ok. As long as we both tried both and stick with what we liked best.

he owns a Leipzig. This is pretty much a slim phatty but arguably better sounding. This is why i ing hate this board sometimes. You have no idea what it is you have. you have no idea what it is you want, and then you have morons on the side lines giving advice that has is kinda idiotic.

If you don't like your leipzig, you won't like a moog. You probably won't like any synth that doesn't have pretty presets programmed for you washed in FX.

I think massive is probably more what you are looking for.

So before you start buying , maybe do some introspection because i have a feeling the only thing wrong is you.
Raphie
There is quite some difference between leipzig and moog just like there is difference between rogue, phatty, mini, voyager etc. Or would you also call these all equal? If you're happy with Massive that's good too, total different animal to me, but explains where you're leipzig comment comes from.
Looney4Clooney
I would say they are all close enough. The leipzig probably sounds more like the rogue which you can't really get anymore. You didn't mention the voyager so not sure why that is relevant. It is idiotic to sell something in a buyers market for something that is pretty much the same.
Raphie
I would agree with you, but what might be nearly the same for you (as i said close but no cigar) might be just that nuance that someone else is craving for. Whether that nuance is relevant to the outside world? Different story, agree with you there.

What's that Nail like Raph?

I was looking at one of those until I discovered the Elysia Xpressor.
Raphie
I like the nail, it has parallel compression, 2 knees which can really shape, a variable low pass and very transparent. With the charteroak and nail chained i can get louder rms with higher crest and less distortion than itb.

A different box than the API, SSL, or CharterOak
The mpressor is also nice
