This forum is basically now the people who have been listening to the stuff for a long time and haven't "retired" yet. Our numbers are dwindling. :p

I've noticed this about a lot of forums I visit. Participation is definitely decreasing. I miss the days when I was in high school and actively participated in forums for sports, music, video games, etc.

there are a lot of reasons, here are a couple IMO:

this forum is incredibly dated and poorly moderated (all sections of TA, not specifically picking any single subforum). might as well rename the general forums to "Troll Addict"

it looks dated and really only "just works" and is missing a lot of features a forum could support

i.e. no one new is coming here, so as people get older they are leaving/posting less and no one new is taking their place

do we need an additional mod?
jonmitz
it's not this forum, it's all the forums. this place is filled with ty ing trolls

the moderators live by "hands off" mentality and it really doesnt work, but whatever... it's just one small piece of the pie

Basically, most of the people on this forum HATE EDM.

So, since it is rising in popularity they are dwindling. As we are no longer the "cool" kids in the know of something "special" & underground. ahhhhhhahahaha

with a profile pic like that, you will always be one of the cool kids stern

I fell in love with the EDM sounds of the 90s and 00s. However, once 2010 rolled in, everyone it seemed like had changed their sounds. Seemingly, it became a fest of electro dubstep. I just stick to a few shows a year now and listen mostly to old gems. It depresses me a lot to see what happened to EDM

Was in the Texas forum and that place that I frequented has died over the past year.

Sad.

I'm mostly into underground acts nowadays, thanks to Circus. The DnB scene is dead in SoCal so my best bet is to catch the one act a year that hasn't soldout and started to spin dubstep
