I think a great remix is when a song is turned into a killer tune. my favoutite remix at the moment is:

Tekara - Breathe In You (airscape remix)

The unremixed version of this song is very ordinary, but Johan Gielen (aka airscape) turns it into a trance anthem, and i dont think anyone can deny that this remix is nothing short of a work of art!

Mr Stamper :)

My all time favourite remix is definitely Dannii "All I Wanna Do" (Trouser Enthusiasts Mix).

how about schiller - das glockenspiel (humate mix)
imo a beautiful progression of mood throughout and better than the tiesto mix
hatiras - spaced invader (darren emerson's underwater mix)
mauro picotto - iguana (mas mix) is massive
i agree kathy's song remixed by ferry could be the best tho

How could you possibly get Airscape confused with Sven Vath? There was a Visions Of Shiva Mix of Sven Vath "L'esperanza" which I'm sure you must be talking about. Sven Vath "L'esperanza" came out in 1993, Airscape's "Le'speranza" came out in 1999! And sorry but I'd have to say the Mas Mix of "Iguana" was the very worst mic of that, Blank & Jones Mix was by far the best!

i had no idea airscape produced their own stuff.. kinda stupid to have two tracks named l'esperanza..
and no i still say mas mix of iguana is sick =P
the other stuff, like a lot of picotto's stuff.. is generic unless remixed. just a pounding bassline

I have to agree with Paul Wilson Mas killed Iguana with that remix, crappy. I would have to say the best remix i've heard is
Hennes and Cold - the second trip (Dj Scot Project mix), if you listen to the original it is very different and very good.

Anyways, peace

I have to say that Ferry's remix of Kathys Song is genious. The original band which is from Norway, if i remember correctly, is some kind of electronic goth band or something. I remember they had to explain who Ferry Corsten was when they introduced him as a remixer on their homepage, and that is not something atrance artist do. So i guess the original Kathy is nowhere near Ferry's remix when it comes to genres.

Another favorite of mine is the Transa remix of Blank & Jones Nightfly. That is just pure quality:)

Suppose it isn't that stupid, it's just the fact that Airscape is soooo different from Sven Vath! Here's a few tunes all with the same name:

Sunrise:
Gondenscan "Sunrise"
Infernal "Sunrise"
Blank & Jones "Sunrise"
and the awful Ratty "Sunrise"

And there's

Junkfood Junkies "The Journey"
Citizen Caned "The Journey"
Loveclub "The Journey"

Probably more that I can't think of!
