OP. I have a feeling you are stirring things up to only come back and promote later. Otherwise you would have shared opinion.

Regarding that radio music overtaking my scene

A track so old there's a Deepdish remix. ha, how times have changed.

Joachim Garraud wrote Guetta's old anyways.

dont really follow him, but i know what he is about and its not for me.
if someone shows me his new song or video i listen for 2 min, laugh and move on with life. i mean good for him to do collab's with all these artists and such and milking 12 year old kids outta their allowance money

honestly speaking tho if he or any of his fans actually think his music is real house music they are a joke

This.

Personally, I don't like what's happening to dance music. There's really starting to become a serious split between mainstream and :"underground". Fans of people like Guetta literally have no interest in any other styles or artists outside of that small little box that Guetta is a part of. People that know all of the big names but have no clue who people like Jeff Mills, Hawtin, Cox, or any of those people are. People who go to festivals just to do drugs, hook up with random girls/boys/etc, and literally have no interest in the actual music. People who don't care or even realize that there is an actual culture to this thing that has been nurtured for decades.

I don't wanna sound like a bitter old man or anything...I'm happy that people like him are successful and that people that listen to him might veer towards other artists/genres/etc in order to educate themselves. But as far as things are concerned...it's not happening.

Clicked here because I'm playing through David Guetta's set from Electric Zoo '12.

42 minutes in and he is kicking ass.
