| So the entire European Union is the recipient for the Nobel peace prize this year. "To the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe." Anyone else think this is just a really bad time for giving the EU such an award? Considering the amount of riots and civil unrest we've seen in Greece, Spain, and even the UK (England's riots of 2011). If anything it just makes the whole Nobel Committee all the more laughable in my eyes, not that they haven't already when they awarded Obozo with the award in 2009. Great job guys. |

We have proven ourselves unworthy of having the Peace Prize committee for a while now.
Don't judge the Nobel Committee based on stupid stuff like this; they actually do a great job with everything given out in Sweden. |

Which is basically to intertwine economies to keep us from killing each other again.
It has been successful in that regard but this is obviously the time were things could take a turn for the worse if we're not careful. |

The funniest thing is that Norwegians got offended by this. :D
Anyway, if the prize was shared between all EU citizens everyone gets 0,23€... so where's my money? |
In my pocket and I don't have to explain why, don't I? :)
The big question is if the countries which now contributed to win the price didn't create the situation in the first place by making wrong decisions in the past.
The price is given too early, if at all it should be given...
Greece never was ready for the Euro-zone and one of the reasons is that they didn't and still don't have a decent, correction, not even a half decent working tax-system. |

ing joke. Just like last year. Not to mention the hypocritical irony of Norway which awards the prize for peace to the EU, but doesn't want to be a part of it. Wouldn't want to give all those oil money to Greece.
Anyway, all Scandinavian countries are full of . The entire EU is one giant sham.
In case you didn't know, the spokesman for the Nobel prize commite, Thorbjørn Jagland, is also a general secretary of the European Council. |

You got sauce on this? I browsed through the biggest Norwegian newspapers but didn't find anything.
Chimney; why would we join a union that would (most likely) be bad for us? I'm all for solidarity, but why not make a union with Congo, Liberia and Zimbambwe while we're at it? After all, they need it even more than Greece amirite?
U no take our oil. |
