There was a thread on this a while ago. Lost Witness and Ratty used the same lyrics, but the orginal was out way b4 either of them. I dont remember who did it originally but LW and Ratty used the same just with a different singer.

Just saying "It's Scooter" shows how ing right they were to release this under an alias... This choon is one of the first, best real Trance tracks I've heard.
"Ratty - Sunrise [Here I Am] (Instrumental mix)" >>> Originally titled "Scooter - Sunrise (Ratty's Inferno)" on the "She's the Sun" single, then "Ratty - Sunrise" on the white "Sunrise/ Space Cowboy" test vinyl, then this name on the final release.
"Ratty - Sunrise [Here I Am] (Club mix)"
"Ratty - Sunrise [Here I Am] (Dub Mix)" >>> Similar to the club mix, no vocals on the final part and ends with the strings on the short break in the end.
Ratty - Sunrise [Here I Am] (Radio Edit)
Ratty - Sunrise [Here I Am] (UK Radio Edit) >>> Pretty much the same as the radio edit, starting from the break
Ratty - Sunrise [Here I Am] (Rimshot's Club Mix) >>> Pirate mix... Is OK. it's a reconstruction using the vocals and instrumental mix.
Ratty - Sunrise [Here I Am] (UK remix) aka (Lamboy Dub) >>> Nice rework... I still preffer the club mix.
There are some bootlegs running around as well.
The original song was written by Tim Buckley around 1980 and the most famous version was the one by This Mortal Coil in 1984-5. It recieved many covers since, of course a nice part of them for Trance, since it's lyrics are so friggin enchanted. |
