Love is just what you make of it. At times I felt a lot like like I was destined never find it, but I was so incredibly lucky and found the love of my life, my perfect match, when I had stopped searching. We have been together for one year and it has been the happiest and most totally awesome year ever.
I agree, love can be painful at times, but it is also the most fulfilling, exquisite feeling as well. With every passing day, I feel it more intensely, it is totally fantastic.
Don't ever give up, because just when you think love can't happen to you, it does. |

My gf of almost 2 years just broke up with me. That's what I mean about love being painful. Basically, love hurts when people change. |

That is so true, Essential. I didn't mean to disparage your earlier comment. I should have explained that I had a similar experience two years ago, and never thought that I would recover, but I did. And just when I wasn't looking for another relationship, I was so lucky to have found the one person who has truly made me happy. I plan to work together with him and get through any problems we encounter as we grow and change together. |

| Love is the emotion of extremes. Either you have love and are extremly happy, or you need love and are extremly lonely. Or you just lost someone you loved and your extremly sad :( |

Yeah, it can take you to hell or to heaven as well. Someone said that love hurts when you're not loved back... hmmm... I wouldn't say so. When you really love someone, you don't expect to be loved back, all you wish is that the person will be just fine, because you'll really care about (him/her). It'll just hurt if the person doesn't care at all about you, which won't be love, but passion (strong physical attraction). Passions are quick, but love last longer.
