| Sasha at #103 is an absolute travesty. Still happy that Guetta didn't win it though! |

His sets have been very boring. John Digweed deserves to be lower than sasha though with that watered down crap he plays.
Sven Vath the stuff he plays YAWN |

Digweed live is COMPLETELY different than Digweed on his radio station.
That guy can deliver a ing beatdown, even in 2012. |

Whatever one may think about Guetta winning it last year, at least it was different. It sparked new conversations and suggested a change in the direction of pop EDM. Seeing Armin win it tho', who cares? It's old news, a retread. What has Armin done this past year that will generate similar talk that Guetta provided? Okay, so he's adopted the 'trouse' sound (according to his old school fans, at least), but all that means is he fits right snuggly with Tiesto, Guetta, Above & Beyond, and everyone else in the Top 10 (sans Skr-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-rillex). Same inter-changable DJs, same ol' story. Seeing Avicci at #3's more interesting than Armin or Tiesto.
I'm sure Armin's fans feel justified with this result, but everyone else will shrug with apathy, much like every other time he's won it. |

Like if you didn't know that it has become a producer contest...
OT: Like i expected David Guetta does not have a serious fanbase, if he is not on the soundwaves people quickly forget about him, in fact 70% of his so called fans never been to a club or what's worse to a gig from him.
I expected Tiesto to be nš1 and almost took for granted that avicii would be nš 3. Take care old dinosaurs, next "levels" may steal your crown. |

As long as Tiesto ain't first everything's fine! :stongue:
Wonder if he was present at the ceremony in Amsterdam. I'd like to see his face, how does it feel being second! |

He has been 3rd previous year thats probably worse...
Another intersting fact i've found in this poll (wel really 2) is that Sander van Doorn, Ferry Corsten etc... after years delivering consistent trance records (until 2008 or so they were good for me, a shade of his late 90's early 2000s productions but good ones) they moved to the progressive/electro commercial house bandwagon and got punished badly. Specially sander van doorn made quite underground tunes and people voted him, he had a serious following. Now probably he has more people that buy his tracks but don't give a about his career.
And the other interesting fact is that techno is soooooo neglected in this poll, totally oposite to RA poll, something strange because techno events are probably the most crowded ones... i've been to time warp and it was packed neve saw that in a trance/house event. |
