Nicolas Cage is a ing joke. How on Earth was he ever cast as an action hero? He does not have any of the aura required as an alpha male badass, but instead the baleful look of a meekly helpful bank clerk stuck in a loveless marriage. No surprise that by far the best role I've ever seen from him was as a middle aged sap in The Weather Man.

He was awesome in all those. But he's had more ty movies than good ones. Matchstick Men, as i've already pointed out, is his best.

his character was awsome....but he def oversold some of the dialog in both movies

I think Cage suffers from kind of the same syndrome Al Pacino does (perhaps the only thing they have in common); they no longer play characters in movies or in the script- they play themselves. Nicolas Cage just plays Nicolas Cage, and hopefully the rest of the script and characters make sense to have Nicolas Cage with them, otherwise you get The Wicker Man.
Haha, it's true but this is why I like Cage. I enjoyed movies like The Weather Man, Lord of War, and Adaptation because it was Cage being Cage. :D
