Right. I'll keep this nice and simple. I was thinking of purchasing Spectronics VST Omnisphere. I've been thinking about buying it for a while and I've read lot's of stuff about it and it does sound like an incredible piece of software. The only thing that had put me off buying it in the past was the hefty price, but I suppose you're going to get years worth of use out of it.
THE THING IS,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I've just been offered a second hand Roland JD800 for sale and now I'm beginning to think twice about Omnisphere. Sure, I realise that there is not really any comparison between the 2 but I've always dreamed of having a JD800. It's such an amazing piece of kit, but also pretty old now. Does anyone out there that owns a JD800 have any advice. I realise that I'm taking a bit of a gamble buying one in the first place cause it might need some repair work but is it worth it?
What would you go for??? |

if you're going to be a collector, get the synth. if you're going to make music with whatever you buy, get omnisphere |

I have a JD800 and its a sweet machine no doubt
It depends what you wanna do and how you work, Id hazard a guess at Omni covering a lot more ground but i dont own so dont know for sure
My advice? Get both  |
