| Some decent melodies going on, but you're sidechaining this to death for me. |

to the benefit of his monitors, at the expense of your cerebral. |

thanks for the replies!
I'll try changing that sound a little.
The sidechaining was on purpose (I assume you mean at the 2-beat section) but I'll mess with it to make it more listenable. I was going for an Andrew Bayer type thing (I know I am not Andrew Bayer) |

I grew up with him lol. We used to party on the weekends - he gave me my first copy of reason (3.0) small world.
He is a glitch/complextro king with a massive octocore apple desktop and tons of outboard gear. The number one thing I learned is not to try and emulate him. He's been playing piano since the age of 3 and got his first synth before 6thy grade. Best case is to develop your own style, as he did. It will sound much better when you are not taxing your brain in an attempt to emulate, rather simply letting your already sufficiently skilled audio prod mind just do the work itself. its like trying to source out cpu issues to another computer, more hassle and trouble than its really worth, and almost never ends up working how you intended it to.
Bayer is in the same group as Prydz or Prince imho, useful for inspiration and ideas, but not source of direct plagiarism since most of their stuff is un-emulatable without some serious hardware/computer capabilities. |

| idk man. If there's anything music school taught me it's that everyone's human. All that matters are hours. |

| oh fasho. but when you are trying to make music like someone who has been bred for it by his parents since age three, with unlimited trust fund account for equipment, youre prolly gonna lose that battle. hahaha life sucks doesnt it |
