Yeah i know i''ll loose my warranty but the premium mod for 750 looks rather tasty. says you get clearer mids, bass separation and more defined lows. Anyone here get the mod, if so how is it?

| spend that money on room treatment, proper desk. You aren't going to notice anything with your current setup. Really small returns for voiding your warranty which to be honest isn't really that bad. warranties in the audio business at least with RME are suggestions. THeir customer base is too small to alienate over something that costs them nothing. |

seems pointless
you have practically the best quality everything already... people are touring worldwide who have less than a quarter of your expensive stuff |

What do you think is a proper desk? I'm looking for a new one. |

Building your own, quite honestly. No desk manufacturer knows what you need more than you do. I'm working on a 73" x 39" wood counter-top from IKEA which has more than enough space for all my equipment, and costed me a measly $199.99 incl. stainless steel legs. |

it isn't the desk so much as how you have your speakers set up so close to your wall which i think is sort of dependent on the desk.
I think if you just spent a bit to really maximize your current area, you will get so much more than spending this on preamps that to be honest are a waste of time. These things matter when you are doing music with sat 3 items. Dance music , for all intents and purposes , preamps will really do nothing. Unless it is a ty pre amp and adds something neat. |

A massive +1 for this (if you don't have it already). I feel like whats the point in having amazing speakers and soundcard etc if your room is lying to you. :)
Also i have the same desk as you, but noticed an improvement to the sound once i got my speakers off the shelves and onto some speaker stands |

Try to get a desk for just your screens and use stands for the speakers. The desk I use is a ty 200 desk. But it holds things that do not create sound so it don't really matter. |
