George Acosta in Jax?

| Anyone have any info on this event? Someone told me he was going to be in Jacksonville in a couple of weeks or so. I will be there as long as its 1. actually happening (unlike a lot of dj events supposedly happening here) and 2. not at pure because that place just sucks. |

| Let me tell you what sucks, George Acosta. That trouse spinning head has no taste for real music. None of his productions or remixes sound like anything from his sets because people produce for him. His sets won't take you anywhere but down a drain of bull. |

I certainly agree with you. George Acosta has seen better days or at least I've been told. Personally I haven't heard a single set or track of his in several years. With that said, I just looked up tracklists from recent sets and they are much more tolerable than the that usually comes through jacksonville. I will take a trouse set over zeds dead or porter robinson. djs rarely come to jacksonville and when they do I seem to be out of town or unable to go for whatever reason. This time things have actually worked out. The event is on a Thursday at Suite which I will already be at because my friends and I happen to get a free table there every Thursday.
So stope trying to rain on my parade...lol |

November 8th. He keeps his website updated to the minute. |

thanks donnie. looks like there is a discrepancy on the date. His website says the 8th but suite's website says the 15th. either way it falls on a thursday so I will be there regardless. after talking to my friends, I hope its the 8th. I thought we were set for free tables on thursdays but I guess thats just every once in a while and on the 8th because its my girlfriend's birthday.
when are coming back up to jax/st. aug donnie? my boy jesse and I have been talking about heading down to ft. lauderdale to party with you but plans keep falling through because of school and all. we were actually supposed to be heading down for my girlfriend's birthday but then the people we were going to go with change weekends on us. |

hmmm I would keep checking GA's site. He always keeps it freshly updated.
No idea as of now. things are hectic down here, lot of music in the works and a good amount of bookings and remix request so I'm a slave to the studio these days. Hahaha Jesse that's my homie! He could tell you some crazy stories about back in the day. Let me know if you guys ever make it down and i'll do the same! |
