This 2 track single is the first release by Union Jack in over 3 years since their highly acclaimed Pylon Pigs album.
The official description is wicked:
Gibbon provides a tropical soundscape backdrop for this 3-time bass groover. Hand-woven psy-elements include OSCar harmonics laced with frog chorus and monkey juice.
Baboon delivers a gnarly reverse baseline driven sparse excursion blended with dark yet optimistic arpeggios offering light at the end of the tunnel.
Both tracks are excellent.

What juicy descriptions those are, but with Terra Ferma (original co-producer for Union Jack) back producing I wonder if he is working with Simon instead of Paul Brogden (POB) on this because its been a while since Pylon Pigs. Either way I loved how those guys would produce tracks with natural atmospheres and animals like I was in a dark jungle, no doubt they broke out the equipment for these tracks. Funnelweb still sounds fresh and those acid lines were original, can't wait.

Paul (POB) wrote on Facebook that the three of them were getting together to write some tracks. Not sure if he was referring to these, other future Union Jack songs, or a new alias, though.

I just found out about this. wtf with Dec 5. I checked out the previews and Baboon just sounds nasty. I hope this is a sign of more original productions coming from Platipus. Finger lickin' good trance, sounds analog as .:toocool:
