| it won't. it is a convolution based tool to change the EQ profile. It is completely useless. Tools for twats that read something about NS 10s somewhere. Honestly, would you pay me 50$ for an EQ preset ? That is all you are getting. Granted this is free but it is still in beta. |

No problem. TB isone works without iLok, so that's great, plus you get a bundle of other effects that seems pretty solid. Don't know how much I loved Isone, but I'm yet to test it out fully.
I can tell you that I'm thinking hard about a VRM box though. The bitches at gearslutz seems to praise it's usefulness, so I'm thinking that paired with the k240's and the Mackies, and I can probably sell the genelex and spend the money on stuff I weedneed. |

I didn't say it was praised for it's accuracy, I said it was praised for it's usefulness. There's a pretty big difference, and I don't care for the patronizing.

It most definitely pointed out some things I needed to tweak further in a mix which I'd already checked on Blue Sky media desk, Yamaha HS50M, Alesis M1 Active 320 plus my ATH-M50 phones....& although I knew some things weren't right, my multiple speakers wern't really highlighting to me what to do & VRM really pointed me at the issues very quickly. |
| quote: | Of course there is no substitute for mixing on a great set of monitors in a well-tuned acoustic environment but for many smaller studios, this simply isn't an option. In this case, the VRM becomes a very handy tool to help you analyze your mixes on different sets of virtual monitors in virtual acoustic spaces to gain an additional perspective that can help you spot and isolate problems that you might have missed using your real-life monitors.
This device is somewhat of a one-trick-pony but what it does, it does pretty darn well. The dynamic range of the device comes in at 108dBA which is often better than a stock laptop headphone jack.
Affordable and easy to use, the VRM is a great bang for the buck! |
soundonsounds review:
| quote: | | For me, the primary value of the VRM Box is to check how well mixes translate, and to that end it is a very valuable tool. For those who are mixing on the road and only need a single headphone output, the hardware element does its job very well. For the rest of us, a plug‑in would be simpler, but despite this, I will certainly be buying a VRM Box. I can’t think of any other affordable product that has made more difference to my own mixing. |
Worst case scenario I now have a $99 hole with a knob, that i can use to plug in my headphones. |
