OP: congrats, welcome to the real world, etc.

Question for the cognoscenti: mine is all sticky now... any ideas how to clean it? It's made from what looks like aluminum.

TIL: I was doing it wrong all this time and the screen should be put back into my grinder... D'oh :whip:

If ur grinder is dirty/sticky just let it sit 24 hours in a glass of coca cola, should do the job!

Ha, yep, I had a pair nearly identical to those. I always used a container though, just to prevent spillage. I'm clumsy :o

Yeah, me too. That's why I normally use a magazine as an underlay :) It also doubles as a roach/filter dispenser, for a while at least. It's probably just in my mind, but I think a spliff or a joint tastes, and ultimately has a more powerful effect, when the filter is made out of the cleavage of this months FHM babe. And don't even get my started on crotch blunts

You took out the screen, grinded your weed, emptied out the grinder and put the screen back in? Ooooor?:conf:

I use a very small flat-head screwdriver to scrape the sides. Be gentle so you don't remove bits of the metal (aluminum is soft, so it's easy to take bits of it with the scrapings). You can mix the scrapings into your next bowl/joint, and your grinder will work nice and smooth again.

To prevent future "clogs", avoid putting too much weed into your grinder at one time. In my grinder, 2/3s full is my cutoff limit.

my grinder has a removable screen section - can use with or without. I chose to use without... D'OH.
